What a Samsung screen repair costs

Samsung pricing moves with the model, and the spread is wide because a Galaxy A15 and a Galaxy S24 Ultra are not the same repair.

What screen you actually get

This is where repair shops differ most, and where customers get quietly shortchanged.

A Galaxy phone ships with an OLED display. The cheap way to repair one is to fit a copy panel, often an LCD sold as a replacement for an OLED screen. It looks acceptable indoors in the shop. Outdoors it washes out, the blacks turn gray, always-on display stops working, and on Galaxy S models the in-display fingerprint reader frequently stops reading at all.

We do not fit copy panels. Every Samsung screen we install is a genuine Samsung OEM display with the frame, in one of two grades:

• Brand new from Samsung. The complete assembly Samsung supplies as a service part, screen and frame together. The industry calls this a service pack.
• Refurbished original. A genuine Samsung panel that has been refurbished and reframed. The display itself is Samsung, not a copy.

Is it worth fixing a Galaxy A15 or A16?

These are the two phones that come through our doors most, so here is the honest math.

An A15 5G or A16 5G sells new for roughly $150 to $200 on prepaid. A screen repair is $89 or $99. If the phone is otherwise healthy, the battery still holds a charge, and you are not due for an upgrade, repairing is the better money. If the phone is two or more years old, the battery is already weak, and the back glass is cracked too, you are putting a third of a new phone into an old one, and we will tell you that at the counter rather than take the job.

We also buy phones and take trade-ins, so if repairing does not make sense, bring it in and we will price both options side by side.

Galaxy S and S Ultra

Galaxy S22 Ultra, S23 Ultra and S24 Ultra are the high-end phones we see most. On a phone at this price the panel grade matters more, not less.

Galaxy S models use an ultrasonic fingerprint reader that sits underneath the display glass. It is tuned to the panel above it. Fit a copy panel and the reader often fails to read, fails to enroll, or works for a week and then stops. Customers blame the phone. The cause is the screen.

That is the practical reason we fit OEM panels on Galaxy S and do not stock copies for them. Galaxy S Ultra models run $219 to $329 depending on generation, and are done in 30 to 45 minutes in store when we have the panel in stock.

Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip

We repair both, and both the inner folding display and the outer cover screen.

These are not 30 to 45 minute repairs. Fold and Flip displays are ordered per device, so the job takes 1 to 2 business days from the time you drop it off. Anyone promising you a folding display replacement while you wait is either stocking copy parts or not telling you the truth about the timeline.

How long it takes

We stock the most common Galaxy A and Galaxy S models. If your model is not one we keep on the shelf, we order the panel and give you the pickup day before you leave.

How the repair is done

1. We check the phone in, record the IMEI, test what works and what does not, and photograph the existing damage so there is no argument later about what the phone looked like when it arrived.
2. The display is heated to soften the factory adhesive and separated carefully, working around the curved edges and the flex cable corner, which is where rushed jobs destroy phones.
3. The battery is disconnected before the display connector comes off.
4. The old adhesive is cleaned off completely and the frame is checked for bends and high spots. A bent frame cracks a new screen within weeks, and this is the step cheap repairs skip.
5. The new OEM assembly goes in, every component is transferred, and the phone is fully tested before it is sealed: touch across the entire panel, brightness, cameras, fingerprint, speakers, microphones, charging.
6. New adhesive, pressed and set, then a final quality check before it goes back to you.

If anything fails that test, you hear about it from us before you leave. We do not hand back a phone with a quiet problem in it.

Warranty

• 90 days on Samsung screen repairs.
• Failed parts are replaced.
• Not covered: physical damage and water damage after you leave the store. That applies to free and paid warranties alike.
• Six-month and one-year paid warranty options are available at the counter.

If we cannot complete a repair, or the part is not available within 48 hours, you get a full refund the same way you paid. No store credit, no restocking fee. It is not your fault if we could not finish the job.
